Yahoo and Bank of America Partner

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

A small business community is expected to be built by a partnership between Yahoo and Bank of America in order to increase the online visibility.
It is true that online businesses bring good returns, would help in gaining experience and would be a great exposure too. But it is also true that one will not be able to completely rely on the income that is generated through it and would not be able to rely on this income for a living. A Yahoo spokesperson while talking about their partnership with Bank of America calls the deal as an example of how Yahoo is getting advertisers for more than a typical search or display ad buy.

It has been said that the campaign would be launched this week. The campaign also includes a session in which the former reporter, columnist, and national small business editor at The Wall Street Journal, Mr. Kevin Salwen would lead a live Q & A session in Yahoo Answers. This would certainly be a very good opportunity for business owners who are new to the field of on business or for those who are not being successful in it. The business owners would directly be able to raise questions that they might have and listen to Mr. Kevin Salwen’s free advice. The sessions are starting from June 22 and four similar sessions would be conducted in which Mr. Kevin Salwen would be answering 25 questions in each session.

One more interesting thing that has been announced is that in each session, a best question would be selected for which the winner would receive search-advertising credits on Yahoo. The winner would also get a chance to have a 45 minutes free conversation with Mr. Kevin Salwen. The winner would also be featured in Yahoo Small Business Center. Looking at all these opportunities, it looks like there would be a serious competition. It is truly amazing and would be a great opportunity for the winner to explore more things by being with Mr. Kevin Salwen over the phone for 45 minutes.

The campaign would include the creation of a center for Yahoo Small Business Answers. And this center would exclusively be built for Bank of America which is sponsoring this project. The site for line interactions, smallbusinessanswers.yahoo.com is already live from this week. This site has all information about Yahoo Answers and includes content of Yahoo Answers. Mr. Kevin Salwen would also write three original articles in this site. This is something very good and would certainly be of great use to fresh online entrepreneurs.

All the Q & A sessions that would take place would be supported with media promotions and this would take place through out the Yahoo Network. Search Money, Yahoo’s Search open platform would feature the Small  Business Answers Center. Once again, Yahoo and Bank of America have got into a deal similar to many others in the past and are expecting the best out of it.
