In the footsteps of Matt Cutts, a well known Googler and blogger, Sergey Brin has started his own personal blog. Instead of being an extension of Google’s viewpoint, however, Sergey is focusing on his life apart from the search engine giant.

Even the name, ‘Too’ reflects a play on the word ‘two’ and means it is in addition too and outside of his life as a major part of Google. He speaks of his mother’s battle with a Parkinson’s diagnosis, and then delves onto his experiences with his wife Anne’s company and the link it has to both his mother’s condition and his own potential for the disease.

Anne Wojcicki’s company is called 23andMe, and provides personal gene analysis to individuals. Through the program, Sergey learned of his own predisposition to Parkinson’s through a gene it seems he may have inherited from his mother.

It is a startling glimpse into the private life of the Google co-founder, and will be worth watching.
