Facebook needs to know more about you – and SEOs and SMMs will tell you that information is going to change the way you use the web forever.. There are quite a few people that are excited about the prospects of the potential changes though. Parts of the Zuckerburg plan sound great, but others are a bad idea. Sharing can go beyond too far. Every time you connect to anything on the web using Facebook, you give Zuckerburg a little more information about yourself.
The goal is to take all of that information and use it to deliver the news or anything else a person likes directly to them on Facebook. If you like ZZ Top, Spotify would bring you their catalog to Facebook and you could listen to Cheap Sunglasses all day if you felt like it. You’d get the sports scores you care most about delivered to your feed, hometown news, financial news or whatever Zuckerburg’s algorithm decides you like brought straight to you every day.
There is another side to it all though. If you cruise around for material that is more “adult” and private in nature… so sorry that got plastered all over your preferences and wall. You would get bombarded with ads for whatever it is in non-stop fashion – because hey – you need to be beaten over the head with advertising! SEOs and SMMs will tell you there is plenty Facebook can be used for to make lie on the Internet easier, but there is also a point where Zuckerburg needs to back down and be glad he ever stole the Facebook concept in the first place.
