Google is launching a new service that would help in searching websites like Twitter that offer micro-blogging services. This would be something great and would be loved by those who make searches as this would greatly reduce time and would help them in participating in discussions that are currently running at Twitter.
Resources say that Google is planning to have a search feature that would help users in finding the links more easily. Though this search feature is already available in Twitter, it is expected that this feature would be a great hit as it would be possible to search all microblogging websites. For the same reason, Google as well is planning to launch the service soon.
The search system that is present in Twitter is a local search system that likes any other local search engine searches for the keyword in the content of its web pages. But there are options in Twitter that would help you in viewing the results of the older searches and the results of other related searches. However, Twitter’s search engine would not be able to pull results from other micro blogging websites like BrightKite, Indenti.ca and more.
Google’s new search engine would work like its own search engine that works in Blog search. The system is more sophisticated than the one found in Twitter as it uses algorithms that would sort results by relevance as well. Even messages from Twitter with the search term would be displayed. These algorithms are made use of to the fullest in order to produce more sophisticated, different and useful results. The beauty of this new search technology is its intelligent codes that are playing wonders by dragging information from all over. The new search engine would also be able to make a note of the number of followers who visit the website, re-tweets and other factors.
Speaking to the media in May Ms. Marissa Mayer said that they are in the process of developing a more sophisticated search engine that would not only do the usual searches but would also be able to pull information from other micro-blogging sites as well. She said, “What’s really happening in Twitter is that there are a lot of clues in it in terms of what’s happening that’s interesting overall. It is similar to what we see in Google Trends, where people will often type what they are interested in into the search box, and we can make some predictions of that. So we are interested in being able to offer, for example, micro-blogging and micro-messaging in our search.” Her words have come true now and it is expected to rock the market. Such a master search engine is indeed a requirement for the search industry that would not only display results from the local site but would also pull from other micro-blogging websites.
