Similar Images is a feature that was launched in Google’s Image Search in April. Google has now officially announced that this feature, Similar Images, would be a standard part of the image search technology that Google is offering.
This feature Similar Image was originally introduced as a feature that the users can use to find images that have some sort of visual similarities. The visual similarities of the images that were listed in the Image search results of Google were taken in to consideration based on which the similar images were listed. This would mean that when a user makes a Google Image search with a particular search term, Google Images would list the results of all the images that are related to the search term. Even those images that have any sort of image similarity with the actual images that are listed for the original search term.
Google Image search would now be able to offer users with suggestions asking them on what exactly they are looking for. The suggestions would list all the terms that are similar or close to the search term that the user is searching for. Google would have a dedicated Similar Images Search page that would provide identical results of images for the search term that the user uses to make the image search. This feature would now be available in the standard version of Google Images search.
Google’s Similar Search for Image Search would certainly be of good use to the users as it would be able to give them best suggestions on what other things on earth are similar to the search term they are searching with. This would make it easy for the users to get the best results, as they would now be able to judge on which particular image related to the search term they are looking for.
For this new feature as well Google has included a standalone Google Product Ideas page similar to the ones that are available for available for other products of Google. Using this feature, users would be able to give their feedback on the features that are included. Additionally, they would also be able to able to give new ideas to Google engineers based on their view on how the product can be improved or enhanced. The users would also have the option of voting ideas that are already listed up or down. This is really a great feature that Google has included for all its products. it not only helps them in knowing about the usefulness of the features that they have already created but also helps them in getting more innovative ideas for improving the product.
