Thursday, September 10th, 2009

Though Google works on a number of new different projects like Google App, its priority has always been to be on the top of the search industry and also in the search advertising and this has been proved once again by the search engine giant.
The first meet in a series of investor Webcasts that would be held was held by Mr. Patrick Pichette, the Google CFO. There were several other executives along with Mr. Patrick Pichette in the meeting when the company spoke about the recent improvements that they call to have enhanced the standard of the search experience. No information on any major shift in the strategy or launch of any new product was provided. However, details about an important feature that sound very interesting were said and that was the addition of video ads directly below the text ads. They can either be had on the top or on the right hand side of the results page of the search engines. The best of this new feature is that users would be able to play these videos directly from the search page.
Google is offering this wonderful feature for the benefit of their advertisers and of course to make a revolution in search advertisement as usual. This option would allow advertisers to include view trailers in their text ads would truly be beneficial and successful. The business product management director on Google’s AdWords team, Mr. Nick Fox has said, “In many cases, the best information is video,”
Mr. Nick Fox explained it with an example as well. He explained on how Electronic Arts is using a video trailer along with the text ad for the new video game of Tiger Woods. This is nothing but a collaboration of two different concepts, one that includes advertisement in text ad format and the other one that includes a video graphic description of the ad.
No significant changes were made to the text ad formats of Google after they were introduced and launched by the search giants. And now, this advancement in the search ad industry can definitely make a great difference and lead to the success of many business. Of course, the advertisers would be asked to pay extra for the service and advanced options that would be offered. Though no information has been provided on how they are going to be charged, it is expected that the advertisers would either be charged by the click through to the websites of the advertisers or by the play of the video. Whatever be the case, it is going to be beneficial for both the advertisers as well as Google as it is going to make a huge sum of money through its video ads.
