Google Releases Version 3 Of Its Browser Chrome

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Google has introduced version 3 of Google’s web browser Chrome. Google’s Chrome team has released an updated version of Chrome 3.0.195.4 beta that was released in August. The latest version of Chrome that has been released includes speed bumps and other features that were available in the beta version earlier. Chrome has undergone rigorous changes that involved 51 developers with 21 beta and 15 stable updates. More than 3500 bugs have also been fixed. However, this version of Chrome is expected to be more stable than any other earlier versions of it as Sony in including Chrome as one of its built-in browsers along with Internet Explorer on Sony Vaio laptops.
The new version of Chrome has enhanced the speed bumps and has also included the features that were introduced in its earlier beta version. Google Chrome was a challenging for Google, as it was an out-of-the-box creation of Google as it earlier had only mastery in the search industry. It was before a year that Google entered the web browser market with Google Chrome competing against Microsoft Internet Explorer, Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox.
The launch of Google Chrome in September 2008 though did have a good start within a week, did not get a good stand. However, the company’s forthcoming Chrome Operating System has rejuvenated Chrome and made people to turn around and watch Chrome once again. Now, Google Chrome seems to have increased the percentage of its market share. Greater expectations await Chrome now as it has been announced that Google has enhanced all features and fixed all bugs and another important point that increases the expectation is that Sony is including Google Chrome alongside Internet explorer in its laptops, Vaio. Google has announced that it is also discussing with other computer companies for having a bundling deal like this.
Mr. Anthony Laforge, Google’s Chrome Program Manager has mentioned in a blog post about the information on how many betas and stable updates it had. An important feature of the latest updated version of Google is that Google has officially retired the new-tab feature in the latest updated version and replaced it with a new new-tab page.
The new new-tab page would be of great use to the users as it would aloe users to drag and drop and easily rearrange the thumbnail images using a mouse. The users would also allow users to hide parts of page that they do not want to see.
Chrome’s search bar, address bar and Omnibox all have new icons included that would help the users in distinguishing the searches, bookmarks, suggested sites and the browsing history. With HTML5, the new chrome would allow embedded videos to be updated as simple as embedded images and they can also be played without plugins.
