Google Introduces Fast Flip For Easy Access Of Internet Content

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

Google has launched its latest Beta Labs product for making it easy for the users to search the content of the internet in a much faster pace than before. Google has launched Google Fast Flip to make it happen. Google’s Fast Flip is a content browser that would allow users to go through the online with a speed never before. They would virtually be able to flip pages of online content. However, it is still not yet sure if this would be a comfortable and convenient way.

Google says that Fast Flip has been specially designed to make the process of reading content from the web a much simpler process using which users would simply be able to flip pages like those that they would do it in any newspaper or a magazine. Google’s argument is that even with a broadband connection, it would take at least 10 seconds for the user to move from one page to the other. However, Google Fast Flip would be a traditional way of handling the web content in which the pages would content would be presented in the form of a newspaper or a magazine. Using this, users would be able to flip the pages in order to read the content of the next page rather than waiting for the page to load to display the content of the next page. The can just flip pages and this would certainly take lesser time than loading new pages.

However, there are some concerning disadvantages of Google Fast Flip. It is that in Fast Flip, the user would only be able to move forward and backwards in the page and would never be able to scroll up or down. This is because the content of the website what the readers would be reading are just cached images of the web pages of popular websites. For making this happen, Google has had tie ups with major websites to have their content displayed at Fast Flip. It seems that Google would even be sharing the revenue generated through ads at Fast Flip with these websites.

As of now, Fast Flip can be used by users to read the content of only those websites with which Google is having tie ups. It would not be possible for the users to customize it and the users would not be able to include the websites they want in it. However, this product with the features that it is offering itself would be great to use as of now, as it is still a Beta product and might be enhanced later. The product has been appreciated by few publishers for the features it has as it allows the user to go to the original article whenever they wish to. They would be able to move to the first page then to any page they want by just clicking on the images of the pages. It would be a great product if it enhanced further and is made customizable.
