Google expected to preview Chrome OS in the next few days

Google representatives have said that Google will be presenting a demonstration of its Chrome OS in an event that would take place on Thursday. They have also said that an overview of the plans they have for the launch of Chrome OS in 2010 would also be presented. Google has even officially invited some of the media people to cover the preview on Thursday. The program, has been said to be hosted by the vice president of product management Mr. Sundar Pichai. The engineering director for Google Chrome OS Mr. Mathew Papakipos would also accompany Mr. Sundar Pitchai during the preview of Chrome OS. A Google spokesperson has mentioned in his email that, “While this will be more of a technical announcement, we will be showing a few demos that will definitely be of interest to you as well as a complete overview and our launch plans for next year,” By arranging for this preview of Chrome OS, Google has kept to the promise of its CEO Mr. Eric Schmidt who said that some news about Google Chrome OS would be available by the end of this year. The actual product, Chrome OS is expected to be officially launched in 2010.
During the session, the industry is expecting that Google would be questioned about various aspects of Google Chrome OS and also about its hardware partners. The hardware partners that are announced until now include Acer, Adobe, Hewlett-Packard and many other companies. Google can expect many technical questions from the media about Chrome OS including information on how Chrome OS will interact with Android which is the latest mobile operating system that is having a rapid growth. Not just this, there might be several other questions that would be raised by the media around Chrome OS.
Even if Chrome does not beat Microsoft’s Window’s OS all together, the launch of Chrome OS would certainly be a tough competition and not very easy. Though a preview of Chrome OS is taking place now, the launch is announced to taken place only in late 2010. By the time, Google is sure to fine tune its product to the best possible level. The preview of Chrome OS on Thursday (November 19) is expected to take place at Google’s headquarters at Mountain View. The news about this preview that has spread out is said to be a rumor by some of the media people while others say that it is going to take place as some of the Google representatives have announced it. The fact behind this news would anyway be revealed tomorrow when the preview takes place in Mountain View. The preview is expected to be really helpful giving the public a better understanding on what to expect from the Chrome OS.
