Google Expected To Announce Its Own OS Today
According to brief message conveyed by two people on Google’s future plans, Google is expected to make an important announcement about the development of its own operating system for personal computers. This operating system developed by Google would be developed based on its Chrome browser. The situation is of course going to be a real challenge to Microsoft but it is still a question whether Google would be able to defeat the technical maestros in Microsoft.
The technical detail about the new OS that is expected to be announced about by Google is not available but the person who has spoken about this announcement has said that the announcement would be made in the company’s blog.

Google has not yet returned any calls or emails about the comments that have been made. This makes it suspicious that the information that has been received might be true.
If Google is really going to have an operating system developed for personal computers then it is sure that there is going to be an intense competition between Microsoft and Google. However, it is certainly not an easy task for Google to defeat Microsoft whose Windows operating system is ruling the computer world.
Google might have planned about its launch hoping that it would be able to capture the notebooks and low cost computers sector that is on the higher moving scale these days.
Though Google has already developed an operating system called Android, they are meant and used for mobile phones. But, several manufacturers have built many lightweight notebooks with the software built in it.
However, Google is not encouraging these manufacturers have Android built in their notebooks as they say that is only meant for mobile phones and not for notebooks. It seems like the company prefers to recommend Chrome based operating system for notebooks.

Google as well cannot be considered technically weak altogether as they have developed and launched many applications in the web itself without using the operating system. These applications seem to play important roles and are being used by thousands of online application users. These applications have actually replaced the software programs that run on the desktop. So considering this, it cannot be said that it would be totally impossible for Google to compete. It might even become an operating system giant as well.

Chrome is an online browser that was released by Google last year. Initially it was described by the company as a tool to deal with high end web programs like Gmail, Google Docs and other applications launched by other companies. Chrome has been regularly updated with many new features all this time and it even has the feasibility to allow users to rum applications without being connected to the internet. This is really great and an operating system developed with it might be a success too.
