Google has won the 2008 Future Mobile Awards for its contribution in mobile search technology. Juniper Research has identified Google as the top contributor for the role Google have played in mobile search category. Google has been given the top award of Future Mobile Awards.

As per Google’s statement offered by Sara Rowghani, product marketing manager for Google’s mobile programs, Europe, “We’re excited to hear that our mobile search has been recognized by the Future Mobile awards 2008. We’re passionate about helping people find the information they need quickly and easily, wherever they are, and mobile search is an important part of that.”

The Future Mobile Award has been established to recognize companies that make significant contribution to the mobile industry not only for the present market but the contribution should also have tremendous impact on the future market. Google has been selected for the Gold award from the Future Mobile Awards. Google has been the leading player in the Internet search technology and they have captured 60% of the search market which means that 60% of the internet users prefer to use Google to make their searches and Google searches are known for their ability to retrieve highly relevant results and their search engine algorithm is the most powerful in the history of the Internet so far.

Google is always ahead of the market in terms of its insights and tools that it provides its users. Google Mobile has provided its users with a number of other enhancements to ensure exciting user experience. Some of the criteria used by Juniper Research for the selection of the Gold award include revenue generation, cost of the services or products, ease of use, customer retention, innovation, functional capabilities and commercial deployment. All these criteria have always been part of Google’s business model and no wonder that Google has received the Gold Future Mobiles Award for 2008.
