Travel sites including car rental agencies and hotel reservation sites may have to kick up their game a notch, as internet access is now available on select American Airline flights. This leaves room for all those procrastinators to madly try to get set up while en route.
I would think that now is a good time to write a few articles to appeal to the bored – top ten ways to join the mile high club, for example, or fifty things to do when you are bored on an airplane.
Perhaps surveys, polls and informational trivia – what is the worst airline food you ever had, or what liquor not to drink at 10,000 feet.
If I were in an airplane and bored, I might have flying on the brain. A neat article about the particular type of jet I’m flying in would be cool – and wait! I have it.
I know a whole lot of people would probably profit from the reassurance of an article titled ‘why flying is safer than driving’.
I mean, if you’re hurtling along at supersonic speeds in a tin can two miles up, wouldn’t you like a little reassurance that you’re not totally off your gourd?
I thought so.
