Many users trusting the instructions have agreed to update the software and at this stage, the hackers install malicious software in the innocent user’s computer. This malicious software is capable of registering keystrokes and stealing data. In extreme cases the software can even takeover the entire operation of the computer. As this malicious software runs in stealth mode this will never be noticed by the user.
Security experts suggest us not to trust any links from people whom we don’t know. If at all you are curious to view the videos in YouTube, rather than clicking the dubious links that you receive via mail you must directly visit the social networking site. This should serve as an eye opener for those of us who use social networking sites extensively. Even while joining any network or community in the social networking sites you must be cautious, as we never know what kind of people are out there.
